A committee was formed being represented school principles,
village officers, Rural Development Societies, presidents of focus groups
related to internally displaced peoples(IDPs) and “Marumalachchi” committee of women
headed families covering five villages
to certify the selected beneficiaries of
the women headed families who have been named to assist on developing their
self employments in the villages of Velikakandi, Thopaweli, Thumpalachcholei,
Urugamam and Kithul in Chenkaladi division, Betticaloa.
